Session 3: Fighting Project Labor Agreements (PLAs) in California

For more than two decades the Coalition for Fair Employment in Construction has worked to keep public and private construction projects open for all contractors, workers and apprentices across California. In California big labor special interests make it increasingly difficult for union free contractors and employees to work on construction projects. CFEC and its executive director Eric Christian have been fighting for 27 years to stop this assault and in this session Eric will be explaining their strategy and tactics for the coming year with regards to fighting PLAs, CEQA extortion, and skilled and trained workforce.

Train-the-Trainer Roundtable Workshop

This comprehensive workshop aims to equip plumbing- heating-cooling apprenticeship instructors with the tools, knowledge, and strategies necessary to effectively train apprentices in both technical skills and professional best practices. By focusing on effective teaching methods and curriculum development, instructors will enhance their ability to mentor apprentices in mastering industry standards, safety protocols, and hands-on skills.
